✈️ Databricks Smart Insights Challenge – Team Data Dribblers

Welcome to our showcase for the Databricks Smart Business Insights Challenge, where Team Data Dribblers explored how artificial intelligence and BI tools can turn aviation data into action.

Using data from data.gov.in, we analyzed domestic flight operations in India—flight schedules, airport services, public grievances, and FAQs—to deliver:

• 📊 Interactive dashboards for flight and grievance analytics
• 🤖 A chatbot named Genie that answers public queries in real time

India’s aviation sector generates rich data but lacks accessible tools to interpret it. Our goals:

• Reveal flight patterns across carriers and cities
• Understand public sentiment via grievances data
• Offer an AI-powered self-service solution for public queries

✈️ Flight Schedule Dashboard

• 6 major cities account for over 50% of flights
• IndiGo operates nearly 45% of flights
• Top travel days: Saturday, Thursday, Friday
• Airasia India serves short hauls, Jet Airways covers longer routes

📢 Grievances Dashboard

• Most complaints are directed toward airlines and airports
• 90% of grievances come without ratings
• Twitter outpaces Facebook as a reporting platform
• ~95% of complaints lack additional details or feedback

🤖 Genie – Conversational AI

• Answers FAQs about flights, services, and regulations
• Reduces dependency on human support teams
• Delivers quick, accurate responses to common queries
